By a spooky coincidence, 1,924 is exactly the number you’d need. So imagine how annoyed you’d be if you set up an attempt at the record but only 42 women showed up?

In another triumph for the heretics who stand against the Great Global Warming Swindle, the failure of the event at Southend-On-Sea in Essex was blamed on a run of bad weather.

The event was in aid of Southend Hospital’s breast cancer appeal, so the failure was unfortunate. The fact that one of the brave volunteers was in her 80’s but was oddly missed out of the photograph is perhaps less unfortunate.

The world record is 1,923 women wearing swimwear which was reached in Russia last year, whilst the UK record is a paltry 320.

Rumours that Silvio Berlusconi has beaten the record at one of his villa parties are completely unfounded (according to this letter received from his lawyers this morning, and who are we to argue?).
