The English is simple enough to lorry drivers – but the Welsh reads “I am not in the office at the moment. Please send any work to be translated.”

An idiot emailed for a Welsh translation of the road sign and got an Out Of Office bounce.

That went up under the English version which stopped lorries going down a road near a supermarket.

The sign went up and all seemed okay until Welsh speakers noticed the fuck-up.

Oh good grief. Apart from supporting dying languages at great public (that’s you and me) expense, if we must waste cash then can’t we at least waste it efficiently?
