Amidst all of the uproar about Arizona implementing a law to make it illegal to be illegal, it seems that border control is done differently in other countries.

Hamas is claiming Egypt pumped poison gas into an underground tunnel between Egypt and Gaza, killing four Palestinians. These are the tunnels, remember, used by smugglers and terrorists to bring in everything from weapons to luxury cars. Perhaps this time they were smuggling poison gas to load on to the rockets that they fire daily at Israel and it just went a bit wrong?

Even taking this muted and unremarked-upon news at face value – just imagine what the response would have been if the Israelis had done exactly the same thing?
