Frozen Sharks Can Be A Worry

G.O.T. is a born worrier.

Sometimes I worry about the most ridiculous things and to prove the point I use this story from Mexico that I found on my travels around the internet.
According to the Attorney General’s office nearly 1 ton of cocaine was discovered in the bellies of dozens of frozen sharks which were found in containers on a ship in the Port of Progreso. The containers had been shipped from Costa Rica but there doesn’t seem to be any information as to their intended destination.
Ok, so back to the worrying.
The problem I have, when I start thinking about these kind of stories, and this one in particular, my head starts filling itself with a multitude of questions which quite honestly would probably be totally insignificant to most normal level headed beings.
How the hell did the cocaine in the bellies of frozen sharks get discovered in the first place? How did the cocaine get into the bellies? Were the sharks made to swallow the bags whilst they were still alive? Were they already dead and the ‘perps’ then had to force the bags down the sharks’ throats? Were they pre or post frozen? Or did the ‘perps’ cut the sharks open, place the bags in the bellies and then stitch them up again? OR were the sharks frozen first thus making it easy to force the bags down their throats?
And what about the cocaine? Is it affected by freezing? Does it expand like water does when frozen? How were the frozen sharks to be delivered? In a refrigerated truck? Or doesn’t it matter if the poor little sharks start to defrost en-route? How does one go about defrosting cocaine anyway, for goodness sake?
I could go on and on but I’m sure you get the picture now about how my mind can quickly overload itself with such endless enquiries. Answers on a postcard to TheEye would probably be furnished with a far more intelligent reply than I could possibly muster because, after all, my head is still being filled with the questions.
