St Crispins Day

Today is St Crispin’s Day. I’ll be toasting King Harry and his army this evening.

To spoil the great day, the French are having a conference about the Battle of Agincourt. Their historians are claiming the English weren’t that outnumbered, that the French were “heroic” and we generally weren’t very nice to them.

Basically, 593 years after a battle which occurred 449 years before the adoption of the first Geneva Convention these ‘revisionist historians’ are accusing us of “war crimes”.

Ah well, at least this reminds me of the famous Google search for “Great French Military Victories“.
