‘Ang On!
Oh now ‘ang on, I’m not ‘avin that
Following Andy Hayman’s extraordinary outburst yesterday (YouTube) in front of the House of Commons Home Affairs Select Committee when asked if he took bribes, a photographer at The Times has grabbed one of those perfectly juxtaposed snaps. Worth re-posting as it will be lost and unappreciated behind the paywall otherwise…
Just by shaving off the pathetic excuse for a moustache, which Hayman wore whilst serving in the Met, hasn’t make me any more inclined to believe a word he says ..
In TV interviews, he always looked shifty .. and Leopards don’t just change their spots with a quick flick of a shaver ..

But there is corruption in the Met. Andy Hsyman, as a very senior officer in that establishment, should have replied by stressing what he, personnaly, is doing about it.

If you can’t grow a decent tache then don’t.
In the Grey Funnel Line after being given permission to grow a fuill set you’re given a few weeks to produce a decent one – fail and it comes off. Scrawny scraggly rubbish gets the cut.

Good point. Theatrics is usually the last refuge of someone on the defensive.

The Met are going to have a *very* uncomfortable year as more and more comes out.
It’s time to bulk-buy popcorn and beer before the matinee starts…
