Daily Express Says “Better Off Out”
We know that the relentlessly pro-EU propaganda of the BBC is partly due to the fact that the EU pay them to push that agenda.
So in the teeth of subsidised brainwashing it’s reassuring to be reminded that the majority of the British people think we’ll be Better Off Out or have such a substantial renegotiation as to mean the same thing.
At last a national newspaper has openly swung behind the views of the majority of its readers.
Well done to the Daily Express.
“the majority of the British people think we’ll be Better Off Out” which the entire political class knows and which is why they will never give us Our Referendum, still, good for the Express;

Fair point but better late than never, and I’m glad that someone is finally bucking the trend of accepting the situation as unchangeable.

My favourite wiki is this diagram.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Supranational_European_Bodies
Now, you can have discussions about where to move to on the diagram, which ‘clubs’, if any, to be a member of etc, but the really important thing is to note that it is possible to change where a country places itself.
For years there has been this unchallenged propaganda that you have to be in the EU or you aren’t ‘in’ Europe. That’s just not true. We can be Switzerland if we like, it’s up to us to define how we want to be.
The European Union is not the only grouping.

Since the Express dumped any pretence of loyalty to the Labour government a few years ago, they have consistently shown themselves to be the only Right-wing newspaper with the balls to stand up to the mark! 😛

The dumping Labour thing is important. Tabloids tend to follow their market in the direction the wind is blowing….see the Sun and its changing election endorsements especially. If they are out of step then they lose readers.
So if they have decided that this is the future then its a risky step – but they are obviously confident.

No, never going to happen. But some of the the next generation of politicians are seeing the signs.

I remember that. Always annoys me when we’re told off like children for calling it the EUSSR because it’s already on the path to being a 50’s and 60’s version of the Soviet Union.

That’s very very good and I know that diagram is going to be used some time soon. Thanks!
And your point is well made too….purely In/Out are only a part of the argument and not the only games in town.

I used that graphic recently but failed to notice that The Vatican appears to be allowed to mint Euros, spooky or what!
