The Golden Age Of Invention
Really enjoyed this from BusinessInsider – 50 inventions from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. Most of them didn’t make it (like the Brush & Shine tool for bald men) but some are now part of our everyday lives.
Spot a 1949 version of the Segway, early riot police armour, the hula hoop and the first ATM from 1966 (with a live person sitting behind it).
What’s going on – certain accounts suspended – another attack or owner’s decision?

When it comes to a toss-up between conspiracy and cock-up, sometimes they aren’t all out to get you.
The synchronisation between the blogging software and the commenting software kicked off unexpectedly (I was asleep, wasn’t me!) and the server tried to update 266,000 and half a decade of people’s thoughts all in one go.
The server melted. I’m currently kissing serious posterior with their techs to get the thing afloat again.
