Romanians Would Vote Ceausescu Again

In news to surely hearten Gordon Brown, it seems that any moronic leader with a tenuous grasp on reality, a pill problem and the economic skill of a dead spaniel can be rehabilitated after they are combined to the dustbin of history.

Apparently 84% of Romanians no longer support the execution of communist leader Nicolae Ceausescu and 41% say they would vote for him as president if elections were held now.

Although 52% said they would not vote for him to be head of state a massive 70% want the people who condemned Ceausescu to death to be punished.

Notorious for trying to start a personality cult without a personality, bankrupting a country with socialist policies learned as a student in an area blighted by those very failed ideas, fighting to dominate the agenda through a sympathetic leftist State-run media, never winning a real election and trampling internal dissent with a clunking fist; Gordoom must be looking on in envy at how popular his Romanian counterpart has suddenly become.

On the plus side, all this has come about after someone shot the bastard, so let’s hope the parallel with Ceausescu extends at least that far.
