Statements Of The Bleedin’ Obvious (Cameron Edition)
They’ve always been playing both sides – especially their Intelligence agency. Truth hurts, eh? It wasn’t as dramatic in the flesh, but these diplomatic things never are.
He also said: “”We cannot tolerate in any sense the idea that this country is allowed to look both ways and is able, in any way, to promote the export of terror, whether to India or whether to Afghanistan or anywhere else in the world.”
(that link goes to the BBC which as usual can’t spell ‘Bombay’ correctly and seems not to have the word ‘terrorist’ in its dictionary unless quoting David Cameron directly)
Michael Burleigh writes an article on the subject in the Telegraph today: Pakistan Cannot Play Both Sides Forever.
No sounds on the Sky vid :'( .
Cameron is being foolish in appearing to take sides in the Pakistan-India dispute in this fashion.

Hmm, I’ve got sound on that video…
He’s got nothing to lose by upsetting a country which is only nominally on our side really. Pakistan want it both ways, so if Cameron is committed to military withdrawal from Afghanistan and buttering up the Indians he’s gambling that he might as well walk away with a few verbals. If its a choice between one ally or two indifferent countries then India is the logical preference.
