ON THE PISTE

Once again reviewing the BIG stories that make up the Austrian Times I read that a party-goer was rescued after he plunged 150ft off a mountain crevice while taking a pee.

Karl Kernen, 55, had been at a bash in Schuetzenhaus, Switzerland, when he sloped off to relieve himself. He was found an hour later hanging by his trousers from a tree after friends raised the alarm when they noticed he was missing.


Now there is a certain indignity in this no matter how one tries to reconcile it but I suppose the greater relief was being rescued!
