This display is currently on show at the 126th Nice Carnival in France. It’s truly the stuff of nightmares. The theme being celebrated is “King of the Blue Planet” and the float is called “Yes We Can Be Ecologist.”

If that broccoli causes global-warming contributing flatulence then he should be ashamed of himself. But it’s a toss up which is more offputting…Obama or this float featuring a naked Angela Merkel in the annual Rosenmontag parade in Germany which started today and where revellers traditionally poke fun at current events.

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi‘s history of having sex with prostitutes is depicted by a huge figure showing a beaming premier surrounded by breasts. This float at Düsseldorf’s parade showed a naked Chancellor Merkel chasing a CD with information on German tax dodgers.

Obama’s ridiculous Nobel Prize was also the butt of the joke on one stand, which featured a huge Uncle Sam receiving the prize while the Statue of Liberty applied her torch to the effigy’s backside.

It sort of puts the Notting Hill Carnival in to perspective, doesn’t it?
