Are You Guilty Of Ecocide?
Now it seems we may be prosecuted in an international court if we don’t believe in the collapsing science of man caused global warming, climate change…
A campaign to declare the mass destruction of ecosystems an international crime against peace – alongside genocide and crimes against humanity – is being launched in the UK.
The proposal for the United Nations to accept “ecocide” as a fifth “crime against peace”, which could be tried at the International Criminal Court (ICC), is the brainchild of British lawyer-turned-campaigner Polly Higgins.
The radical idea would have a profound effect on industries blamed for widespread damage to the environment like fossil fuels, mining, agriculture, chemicals and forestry.
Supporters of a new ecocide law also believe it could be used to prosecute “climate deniers” who distort science and facts to discourage voters and politicians from taking action to tackle global warming and climate change.
What it boils down to is; having first lost the scientific argument, followed by the political argument (still some embers to be stamped out there yet, no letting your guard down anyone) the Left have retreated to their tradtional fallback position for dealing with people who don’t agree with them…lock them up. If you fail to toe the Party line then you can do your complaining from a jail cell, sunshine, is the message.
Higgins will launch her campaign through a website thisisecocide.com asking for global support to pressure national governments to vote for the proposed law if it is accepted by the UN Law commission. The deadline for the text is January, and a vote has been scheduled on other amendments in 2012. It would need a two-thirds majority of the 197 member countries to pass.
Considering how many members of the United Nations actively stifle free speech there’s a very real likelihood of this being passed.
The Telegraph ran a small item today saying that the Police are investigating everyone who made an FOI request to the Met Office re Phil Jones’ stats, clutching at straws as they fail to find the ‘hacker’ of the climategate e-mails.
Which is all bollox since the Met Office had identified the precise computer from which the files had been SENT within two days.
On the wider picture, making an FOI request thus makes you a suspicious person.

Yes, I’ve put in a stack of FoI requests to verious places. There was one investigation I was specifically working on, but it looks like I’ll be turning it into a “how they weasel out of answering requests” story instead.
Still, I’ll be on a dozen lists of suspicious people now. Under half a dozen names, though, which should keep them guessing 🙂
