May Is Zombie Awareness Month
Never accuse TheEye of not feeding your need for brains. Friends will know that TheEye is a big fan of the zombie movie genre (not just the one in the image here), and so was delighted to discover that:
May is the official Zombie Awareness Month of the Zombie Research Society.
Many films important to the evolution of the modern Zombie are set in the month of May, from the original Night of the Living Dead, 1968, to the well received Dawn of The Dead remake of 2004.
Also, because Spring naturally brings with it a sense of renewal and hopefulness, May is the perfect month to emphasize continued vigilance in the face of the coming Zombie Pandemic
Supporters of Zombie Awareness Month wear a gray ribbon to signify the undead shadows that lurk behind our modern light of day. Please take this small step to acknowledge the coming danger.
Where can I get a copy of Strippers vs Zombies? Seems like a very well made arty movie. Well worth watching if the wife is out 😉

It’s a pretty awesome movie and definitely worth watching.
Particularly great acting from Hollie Winnard who you may remember appearing as herself in the classic Beauty and the Geek. Enjoy!

Don’t go Google searching for Hollie Winnard (I know, I’m sad…) or you’ll get Malware warnings….

Sensible advice, so here is her safe-for-work Facebook picture.
Turning off Safesearch is required for the dedicated researcher-after-truth to unearth more of her acting talents.

“Turning off Safesearch is required”
I think I’ll leave that for if (or when) I delve into Linux, or God forbid, Macs….

I too have a soft spot for Zombie movies and have one which I have titled ‘Doomsday, zombie virus thing’ probably becuse it does not include the intro credits. Any ideas?

Is it set in the UK? If so it might well be Doomsday, which portrays Glasgow as a virus plagued ruined and cursed pit of humanity gone wrong. If not, it could be one of the Resident Evil franchise, but to be fair if any movie has Milla Jovovich in it you wouldn’t be watching it for the zombies anyway.
Remember ‘Braindead’ where they kill that zombie head by putting it into a blender? And others by using lawnmowers? Classic movie….
