Is the word Golliwog offensive?
Carol Thatcher has used the word golliwog in private in the green room whilst waiting to go on a programme. OMG!!! Hang her high!!
I suspect this an element of the BBC with the knives out for anyone with the name Thatcher. It should have been dealt with internally, rather than being made public, so I suspect a witch-hunt.
An interesting poll is being carried out here on the un-official army website Arrse.com. You may have to vote yourself to see the poll results, but it gives an interesting view on how the “hardy types” in our armed forces think about such PC nonsense!
To quote a forum poster on Arrse
Its got to the point now where noone tells the truth now in regards to their opinions about race – in BBC Question Time 2 weeks ago the issue of Prince Charles calling his pal sooty was raised – the whole panel in my opinion answered what they think they were supposed to say so that they could appear rightcious in front of the audience.-
True, very true.
Chiles is a jerk! I hope he’s very proud of himself. No doubt he’s won a few brownie points to further his career.

Oh my aren’t the Golliwogs a sensitive bunch or are they I don’t hear any of them complaining just white PC fanatics jumping on their high horses whilst most of their Golliwogs are still chopping each other to pieces with machetes, committing huge frauds and mostly behaving like their stone age ancestors. Those who are not are just beautiful people with the sense to be grasping the 21 century with both hands unlike our cousins in much of the east. I am a Golliwog Lover.
