Media Bias
We’re all waiting for the public announcement by the BBC saying that they want to clarify their editorial perspective and that they’re biased to the left. Wouldn’t that be freeing for everyone? Stop pretending to be objective and just clearly state a bias. It’s not like they’re even attempting to fully and objectively report unfavourable news about McDoom. In fact for examples just go to the BBC Politics page, close your eyes and click blindly for a random link.
Imagine openly biased press conferences organised by seating plan. A room quite literally divided between those reporters on the left and on the right. Politicians could go back and forth between the sides and people could see the difference between the questions. They could decide who to listen to. They could decide who is fair.
A poll by the Pew Research Center for People & the Press out over the weekend in the US found that only 29% of people think that the media is accurate and a mere 19% think that it deals fairly with both sides. That’s down from 55% / 34% in 1985. Although that data is from across the Pond, the figures surely aren’t much different over here.
So, they’re already considered biased. Why not make the covert overt and be done with it?
Naughtie’s interview on the Today programme yesterday was so reverential to Mandy that it was remeniscent of his infamous Neil Kinnock interview.
The whole day on radio 4 until 5pm was indicative of a typical Soviet propaganda campaign without the martial music.
The bbc will get worse in supporting the left to protect the jobs of its presenters and editors. Who will stop the rot that is rapidly turning the bbc into a soviet propaganda machine?
