St Crispin’s Day
It is not for nothing that one of the writers on this blog has chosen St Crispin as his nom de guerre. His status as a serving officer precludes him from contributing anything like as much as he would like to our blog but he is a good friend to TheEye both inside and outside of blogging. May the day dawn very soon when we are drinking Horse’s Necks once again in the Mess at HMS Rooke.
Until then, on this day for patriots and those who carry themselves with bravery and honour; enjoy with us this famous scene:
Being a Scot St Crispin’s Day means little to me but let me join with you in honouring our brave and courageous armed forces.

ASE, how does this comment business work on here? It says Guest, then Log Out. If I’m a guest surely I wouldn’t be logged in? Also I can’t get my name to come up only guest.
Don’t confuse me with a long technical response now. 😀

Hey, subrosa. You’re logged in to Blogger – I can see that by moving the mouse over your blank avatar image and I get a link to your site. Your Blogger profile must not have an image.
Unless you want to update your Blogger profile with stuff, you should be able to click on the word “guest” and type something over it. That should stay for any comments you leave on here. Hope that helps.

Thank you. This blog started out with the intention of more military leanings because of the backgrounds of StC and myself and although it has matured into a wider range of topics it still has those roots. Over at your blog, your sadly too-frequent posts of the poppy marking the deaths of our soldiers always make me pause.

Very kind words ASE. The butchery of the Territorial Army (which has happened almost without a mutter in the press, and certainly none of our senior military represenatives have made much of it) means that my planned trip to you partof the worl was cancelled. Apparently protecting our outlying regions is not so important now we hae given all our money to the bankers!
Indeed I am unable to do much blogging as my current job is at the very heart of the military PR/Press orgnisation.
i will leave it to you & GOT to weedle out the juicy stories for a bit!
