“2012” – Is The Movie A Glimpse Of The Future?
Roland Emmerich’s new end-of-the-world disaster film 2012 has a rollicking good time destroying every monument to man’s architectural genius in the world. The Sistine Chapel is destroyed, as is the Vatican and the giant Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro. The White House gets flattened, too. All man’s most well known landmarks get turned to dust by Emmerich’s over-the-top movie effects team. But by the time the year 2012 rolls around, director Roland Emmerich is obviously saying that Islam has already been wiped off the face of the Earth before the end came. There are no Saudi scenes of mayhem and destruction in his film. No Iranian landmarks get caved in, no destruction of Mecca and Medina are shown in Emmerich’s mashup masterpiece.
One can only conclude that Roland Emmerich has decided that Islam has been whipped out by an enraged Western civilization before the year 2012. Well, what other conclusion can you come to after Emmerich decides not to show any Muslim sites being destroyed in a film about the end of the world? I mean, if everything is being destroyed and he doesn’t show any Muslim sites getting flattened, he MUST be saying that there aren’t any Muslim sites left to flatten by the time 2012 rolls around… right?
So, there you have it folks. Director Roland Emmerich is positing a total genocide of all Muslims and a complete erasure of their history from the planet before the year 2012.
Either that or Roland Emmerich is just another boring self-hating, Hollywood coward that delights in wishing destruction and death to be visited upon the very civilization that brings him fortune and fame. And, gosh… we don’t want that to be true, do we?
He probably thinks the sight of the kaaba descending into a giant earthquake was not so important to the film to be worth the fatwa that would follow.

So the Mayan long count calendar runs out and a new cycle begins – right, then – let’s see:
1st cycle – people made of mud – seems they weren’t able to think/walk/or much else either!
2nd cycle – people made of wood – not much brainpower and difficulty in walking!
3rd cycle – people made of amber – still not right – no respect for the gods!
4th cycle – people made like us – made to revere the gods – sorted!
5th cycle – starting 22/12/12 – people still rushing around doing Christmas shopping – absolutely no reverence for the gods – amazing how that happened in the 5200 years between the 4th and 5th cycles – science and understanding, eh, the true killers of religions!
This occasion will probably come and go without event the same as both 1000AD and 2000AD did, although the doom merchants proclaimed otherwise, the world did not end – twice – they are only numbers based on one religious event and have no bearing on the age of the solar system or the universe. The Maya were extremely good astronomers for their time but I can’t see how they can predict a comet/asteroid collision with that amount of accuracy 5200 years ago.
Let’s have a look at this, too:
In 2009 – 2012 is in the cinemas – nice little earner!
In 2010 – 2012 comes out on DVD – another nice little earner!
In 2011 – 2012 goes to all the premier movie satellite/cable channels – more bleedin’ money!
In 2012 – 2012 goes to all other TV channels before the actual supposed event – job done – milked for every penny.
The Mayan calander will finish the 4th cycle and begin a new 5th cycle and we will still be here on 22nd December.
