Okay, so it’s an effort to get away from calling everything “…Gate”. Fed up with that now.
From Anthony Watts through a report from the Climate Science Coalition of New Zealand, we find some more climate alarmist chicanery
The New Zealand Government’s chief climate advisory unit NIWA is under fire for allegedly massaging raw climate data to show a global warming trend that wasn’t there.
The scandal breaks as fears grow worldwide that corruption of climate science is not confined to just Britain’s CRU climate research centre.
In New Zealand’s case, the figures published on NIWA’s [the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric research] website suggest a strong warming trend in New Zealand over the past century:

Gone is the relentless rising temperature trend, and instead there appears to have been a much smaller growth in warming, consistent with the warming up of the planet after the end of the Little Ice Age in 1850.
The house of cards is falling, climate alarmists. It will be interesting to see what happens when NASA and the Goddard Center are forced to release their raw data. “Sceptics” and “deniers” do not deny that there has been warming since the end of the Little Ice Age. We deny that Mankind is mostly, or solely, responsible for it, and, if some politicians were really interested in real science, rather then agenda based science, they would share that opinion. Perhaps it’s time for everybody to be honest, and get interested in real science, eh?
Meanwhile, it appears that several of the people involved in the Warmaquiddick emails might have broken laws. Much as the MSM are trying to dampen things down, these pesky news brush fires just keep springing up, don’t they?

If that’s the best they can do, they are stuffed – it doesn’t change the emerging facts from the e-mails that we have yet again been lied to for years merely to suit a political agenda!
I am not a computer geek myself. However, it seems that those who are have discovered some numbers they call ‘code’ as potentially being the real ‘smoking gun’.

With my geek hat on I’m closely following the unravelling of the readme file documenting a developers painful journey on behalf of the CRU to work out how they used undocumented and flawed code to produce the current figures. But it’s only a smoking gun to technical people…to win the hearts and minds of the folk on the street (where the battle is) it’s always going to be the less scientific but more understandable oneliners which make the difference – the emails saying ‘lets fudge this’ or ‘lets stop his ideas’.

Yes, it’s about politics, of course, and always has been. Strange that a need to control and regulate our lives using whatever trojan horse is available should come from the Left, eh?
Wattsupwithat have done a splendid job in keeping up the pressrure with new revelations every day. Bits and pieces now appearing in various Telegraph commentary pieces and I’m looking forward to seeing what they do this weekend.
I like Climategate btw, at least everyone can relate to it; Guido is now on the case, suggesting that we use ‘Climate Cooling Deniers’ for the warmists.
I started using Global Cooling Deniers over on Biased-BBC the other day in a post about al-Beeb’s coverage so it looks like we’re all finding a happy level of sarcasm to meet at. Marvellous!
