President Obama has a 91% approval rating among black voters, despite the fact that just about everything he is doing harms that section of US society than any other and that the more educated black voters are actually quite conservative in their politics.

According to Gallop Barry’s overall approval rating is becalmed in the mid 40’s, which indicates a good kicking in the mid-term elections on November 2nd. Yet among black voters he is overwhelmingly popular, garnering a whopping 91% of their support (the other 9% are obviously Uncle Toms) when even among Democrats as a whole, that number is lower at just 79 percent.

Curiously, Obama’s lockstep black support is Not News and is written off as “racial solidarity”. But imagine if 91% of white voters insisted on voting for the white guy even if they disagreed with his politics? The Guardian and the BBC would self-combust.

This, on the other hand, is just…..expected.
