Heroes And Zeroes
For exactly 250 posts now, TheEye and his co-conspirators St Crispin and the GrumpyOldTwat have been randomly spreading military stuff, political opinion and random nonsense with all of the enthusiasm of a Rwandan soldier who has just won 2 minutes on a trolley-dash in a machete shop.
To mark this milestone, TheEye asked the G.O.T. to put together a video which hat-tips our soldiers and puts our snouts-in-the-trough politicians up against them. This is the result and it is excellent. Not 100% Safe For Work but 100% worth watching.
Hopefully you will all continue to patronise this establishment…but it is 250 up and the G.O.T. has done it for us in style. Take a few minutes out of your day to think of our servicemen and also the families who are missing them.

You’re welcome but it’s just a shame that Gordoom, and especially his cronies, would rather fritter the tax payers money away on their own creature comforts than provide our wounded soldiers with the proper care that they so justly deserve.
Our City is a home base for one Hero outfit that has seen action in Basra and continues to see action in Afghanistan; nearby is a main training base for another ( sssh, secret ).
They are both well recieved by the local populace on the rare occasions that they parade though, it has to be said, the local chav lads do have issues when the ‘trainees’ hit town on a Saturday night with a full weeks wages and just one night to spend them. Some observers unkindly suggest that our lasses of easy virtue see the training camp as a cock warehouse. I suspect that such things never change ( and perhaps they should not ).

Having lived in Gosport for a while TheEye and many others developed the nightclub line “so how long is your husband’s ship away for?” pretty quickly.
Luckily with the newer nuclear subs it could be 6 months which was a better bet than shagging a girl who had a bloke on one of the old diesel boats – they only deployed for a few weeks at a time.
