If Clegg’s complete and shameless about-turn (and that of just about all of his Party, especially the ones who want to keep their new shiny ministerial cars and red boxes) doesn’t show people that then nothing will.
As the Lib-Dems fail to say often enough, they did not win the election so they are in no position to implement their policy. It is all the electorates fault 😉 .
Like all polices, if it works out then everyone (including Labour) will claim it was their idea in the first place; if it doesn’t then there won’t be any fingerprints on it. But agree, Clegg may have to claim credit from the distant shores of an EU Commissioners office or somewhere else that politicians go to die.
…and still not in the most obvious places either. What’s the point of scrimping and saving on the small stuff when we give millions to the EU every day? Why is there a single Diversity Officer anywhere in the country still?
